RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Cancer is still a health problem serious. Based on the Ministry of Health's report, cancer is the second leading cause of death in the world by 13% after cardiovascular disease. Approximately 30% of cancer patients had adjustment problems and 20% were diagnosed with depression. METHODS: A qualitative design with an ethnographic and phenomenological approach with a total of 10 participants. RESULT: Based on the results of the interview, breast cancer sufferers experience stress and depression when they first find out the diagnosis from the doctor. However, they carry out strategic in order to get rid of excessive anxiety such as reading books, dzikir, meeting fellow survivors, and still trying to sincerely undergo all series of treatments. CONCLUSION: Support from family, work environment, friends, relatives, fellow breast cancer survivors and treating doctors and fellow survivors greatly contributes to efforts to prevent stress and depression, fellow survivors have communities and groups to provide information and education as well as sharing related to breast cancer.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with work stress on employees at the BNI Makassar Branch Office. METHODS: This study used a cross-sectional research design. The sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique. The data were processed using the SPSS program, the results of which were presented in tables and narrative form. RESULT: The results showed that the variable work stress relationship with the workload and gender variables of the employees at the BNI Makassar Regional Office. And there is no stress on the work relationship with the variables of marital status, years of service, and length of work for employees at the BNI Makassar Regional Branch Office. CONCLUSION: Workload and gender have a significant relationship with work stress. The suggestions for minimizing the level of work stress with stress management.

OBJECTIVE: This study aims to determine the relationship between work posture and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) complaints in Lipa'Sa'be Mandar weavers. METHOD: This research is a quantitative study with an observational approach using a cross sectional study design on 42 samples selected by purposive sampling (N=124). RESULTS: All respondents (100%) experienced complaints of MSDs, of the 37 (100%) respondents who weaved with a moderate risk work posture, there were 10 (27.0%) respondents experienced complaints of mild MSDs, 21 (56.7%) complaints of MSDs moderate, and 6 (16.2%) experienced severe MSDs complaints. 5 (100%) respondents who weaved with high-risk work postures, with 1 (20%) mild MSDs complaining and 4 (80.0%) severe MSDs complaints. Results of the chi-Square test with α=0.05, it shows that there is a significant relationship between work posture and MSDs complaints. CONCLUSIONS: Work posture is significantly associated with MSDs complaints in Lipa'Sa'be Mandar weavers.

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to determine how the Health Belief Model approach used by cancer survivors, especially women, in order to survive until after treatment. METHOD: The data in this research were gathered from in-depth interviews, using content analysis techniques. RESULTS: The findings suggest that the cancer symptom self-detection technique helps them to discover the problem and then seek medical help. The findings also indicate that they tried to do the healthy life behavior during the medical treatment, religious coping that could help to overcome stress as a result of the treatment, family and social support to the cancer survivor, being self-confident of the healthy behavior in helping the medical process. CONCLUSIONS: The healthy life behavior when supported with religious coping, can be a good alternative to help cancer patients fight against the disease and survive.
